DUPAGE COUNTY – As families across Illinois prepare for the holidays, State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) is calling on local residents to help those in need by donating to her 3rd Annual Food and Coat Drive, now underway through November 17th.
“With grocery prices climbing and SNAP benefits impacted by the federal shutdown, many families are struggling to make ends meet,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “This is the season of giving, and a warm coat or a few canned goods can make a world of difference.”
Residents can drop off new or gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, sweatshirts, and non-perishable food items at Rep. Sanalitro’s district office, located at 994 W. Army Trail Rd., Carol Stream, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Those needing to coordinate donation times outside of regular hours are encouraged to contact her office directly.
“Together, we can help keep our neighbors warm and fed this holiday season. Thank you for your kindness and generosity,” Sanalitro added.
