Welcome back summer! This is the best time of year for family and community fun! Now that legislative session is recessed until the fall, I look forward to visiting our local parades, fairs, festivals, farmers markets, car shows, and everything else we have to offer!
I also plan to spend the summer months continuing to build on my efforts to advance our shared values—keeping taxes low, ensuring families’ health, and maintaining community safety. Your feedback and support are invaluable, and I encourage you to reach out with your thoughts or any requests for assistance. You can contact my district office at 630-349-0645.

Rep. Sanalitro Votes ‘NO’ on FY2025 Budget
SPRINGFIELD, IL – Illinois State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) placed a “no” vote against the State of Illinois’ FY2025 budget. The document is the largest spending plan in state history, totaling $53.1 billion. Rep. Sanalitro voiced objections to several components of the budget, which she believes will negatively impact the small businesses, individuals, and families of Illinois.
“This budget simply does not represent the values of my district,” said Sanalitro. “It includes more overall spending, with a substantial amount going to undocumented immigrants. This is concerning when the budget simultaneously eliminates crucial money for local governments. Our communities deserve some of this money too,” she continued.

Rep. Sanalitro Brings Major Win for Illinois Seniors
BLOOMINGDALE, IL – We had a major win for seniors and those in need with the passage of SB3476 – legislation that exempts home-delivered meals from taxes. The change is set to help programs like Meals on Wheels, which has been successfully delivering meals to seniors in need throughout the Chicagoland area and Illinois for decades.
I am proud to have co-sponsored this bill and play a small role in making it more affordable for charitable programs to provide nutritious meals for those who need them the most. With this move, we are ensuring that more seniors and other people dealing with food insecurity from our own communities can have access to healthy food.
