Rep. Sanalitro Announces OSLAD Grants for Park Districts in the 48th District
Hanover Park, IL — State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro is announcing the receipt of significant grant awards for park districts within the 48th House District, as part of the 2024 Open Space Land Acquisition & Development (OSLAD) program administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Sanalitro expressed her excitement for the grants: “Local parks are places where families and neighborhoods come together and connect so I am proud to see these funds being used to enhance the health well-being of our communities. These awards demonstrate significant investment in our park districts and speak to our commitment to enhance the quality of life for every resident across the State.”
The following park districts and municipalities within Representative Sanalitro’s district are the proud recipients of these 2024 OSLAD grants:
- Addison Park District: $600,000
- Bensenville Park District: $570,100
- Bloomingdale Township: $150,000
- Roselle Park District: $600,000
- Village of Itasca: $600,000
The funds will be instrumental in developing and enhancing local parks and recreational facilities and ensure they continue to be vibrant spaces for community gatherings, sports, leisure, and environmental appreciation. Over the years, the OSLAD program has been instrumental in providing financial assistance to local government agencies for the acquisition and/or development of land for public parks and open space.
Rep. Sanalitro remains dedicated to advocating for resources that support and uplift her communities. These grants are just one of the many ways she is working to ensure a bright future for her region of Illinois.
