SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) was named ABATE of Illinois’ Representative of the Year on Wednesday in recognition of her support for the organization’s legislative priorities and advocacy efforts on behalf of Illinois motorcyclists.
ABATE, which stands for A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education, is a statewide organization dedicated to motorcycle safety, rider education, and protecting the rights of motorcyclists across Illinois.
Sanalitro, now serving her second term in the Illinois House of Representatives, said her support for the motorcycle community is rooted in her broader commitment to public safety and protecting Illinois families.
“I’m beyond honored to receive this recognition,” said Sanalitro. “Whether it’s our schools, shopping centers, neighborhoods, or Illinois roadways, I want every person in our state to feel safe. Protecting motorcyclists who are enjoying our roads or commuting to work is an important part of that mission, and I’m proud to stand alongside ABATE in supporting rider safety and awareness.”
ABATE of Illinois recognized Rep. Sanalitro for her efforts to support policies that promote motorcycle safety, protect riders’ rights, and increase awareness among motorists sharing the road.
Rick Makowski, ABATE of Illinois Legislative Coordinator said: “Representative Sanalitto has been a champion of motorcycle rights since her joining the Illinois House. She has worked with ABATE of Illinois on all legislation affecting motorcycles. We appreciate all of the work she does with us and look forward to a long future of working together.”
Rep. Sanalitro has consistently advocated for commonsense public safety measures during her time in office and says she will continue working with organizations like ABATE to ensure Illinois roadways remain safe for all travelers.
