Rep. Jennifer Sanalitro Backs Tax Relief Bill to Help Workers and Employers with Workforce Training and Education

ILLINOIS – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R–Hanover Park) has sponsored legislation to provide tax relief for employers and employees who invest in education and job training.

House Bill 1752 creates income tax deductions for employers and employees who utilize educational assistance programs to enhance workforce skills. The goal is to make it easier and more affordable for workers to continue their education and for businesses to invest in their employees.

“Investing in education and job training strengthens our workforce and our economy,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “This bill rewards both employers and employees who take the initiative to build new skills and create more opportunities.”

HB 1752 encourages partnerships between businesses and workers by easing the financial burden of continuing education. Supporters say the measure will help attract and retain talent, strengthen local businesses, and promote long-term economic growth in Illinois.

“We should be making it easier for people to improve their skills and advance in their careers,” Sanalitro added. “HB 1752 is a common-sense way to support hardworking families and job creators across our state.”
