It was a beautiful day last week celebrating the grand reopening of Benson Park with the Itasca Park District! This newly renovated space now features:
A brand new picnic pavilion
Tennis & pickleball courts
A sand volleyball court
Upgraded, inclusive playground features (including a wheelchair-accessible swing)
Thanks to a $400,000 OSLAD grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the hard work of our local leaders, this $900,000 project is now a space for families to enjoy for years to come.
