SPRINGFIELD IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R–Hanover Park) is standing up for working adults, parents, and nontraditional students by backing a resolution that calls on Illinois public colleges and universities to protect and expand night courses and programs.
“For many Illinoisans, night classes aren’t just helpful—they’re essential,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “These programs make it possible for people to balance work, family, and education. We need to protect them.”
Night programs offer flexible options for those working during the day, raising families, or returning to school later in life. Sanalitro emphasized that higher education should be accessible to all—not just those available during daytime hours.
“I urge our state to prioritize these programs, shield them from budget cuts, and recognize the critical role they play in opening doors to opportunity,” Sanalitro added.
Rep. Sanalitro remains committed to expanding educational access and supporting hardworking Illinois families through practical policies that put people first.
