FEB. 5th – This afternoon, Illinois Democrats chose to spend their time passing five non-binding resolutions criticizing actions taken by the Trump administration instead of addressing real issues—like our state’s $3.2 billion budget deficit.
What’s really concerning is that they have no authority over federal administrative decisions, nor are they in the right place to influence them. They’re 1,100 miles away from Washington, D.C., and they serve as state legislators, not members of Congress.
Rather than wasting time on political posturing, they should be working to lower taxes, reduce spending, and expand school choice and opportunity. But they won’t do that.
Meanwhile, I’m meeting with constituents and crafting legislation that will actually help the people of Illinois—not sitting on the House floor listening to lectures about an election that happened months ago just because some refuse to accept the results.
I’ll continue fighting for my district, for Illinois families, and for policies that truly matter. Stay tuned.
