ILLINOIS – Starting January 1, 2025, Illinois’ minimum wage will increase to $15 per hour for workers 18 and older and $13 per hour for workers under 18. This is the final scheduled increase from a law passed in 2019. In Chicago, wages are higher, currently at $16.20 per hour, with yearly increases based on inflation or 2.5%.
