Itasca, IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Nordic Wastewater Treatment Plant. The event marked the completion of two significant projects that will enhance both public infrastructure and community wellness and represents collaboration between DuPage County, the Itasca Park District, and the Village of Itasca
“This is always one of my favorite parts of being a state representative—seeing everyone come together to recognize the dedication of public officials and staff working to improve our communities,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “This project is a perfect hybrid of two essential government roles: the not-so-glamorous but absolutely necessary wastewater treatment facility and the beautiful Springbrook Creek walking trail that promotes outdoor activity and health.”
Rep. Sanalitro praised the teamwork involved and expressed excitement for future developments, including the OSLAD Connection Project, which will further enhance local amenities.
“I’m so proud of everyone involved and can’t wait to see all the good that comes from these efforts,” concluded Sanalitro.
