CAROL STREAM, IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) is celebrating the passage of HB4966 through the Illinois House of Representatives. Her bill Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow the Secretary of State to open up a larger selection of specialty plates that can be issued to motorcycles.
Right now motorcyclists are limited to a small selection of specialty plates – despite there being 50+ different options for regular cars. (68 total listed on SOS website)
This bill would treat motorcyclists like others drivers and allow them to show their support to various causes through the Secretary of State’s specialty plate program!
