Carol Stream, IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Bloomingdale) is announcing the kick-off of her First Annual Back to School Supply Drive, taking place from August 1st – August 15th.
“Getting ready to go back to school can be one of the more stressful times for a family. Having to buy new clothes, shoes, and other supplies can become expensive very quickly – especially now since inflation has increased the costs for many of these goods.”
Rep. Sanalitro continued, “To help Illinoisans combat rising prices, one of the first pieces of legislation that I filed in the House creates a permanent sales tax holiday on back to school supplies for the first seven days of August each calendar year.”
Rep. Sanalitro finished, “I’m hosting this Back to School Supply Drive to help the students and families in our district that might need a little extra help this back to school season. I strongly encourage anyone in a position to make donations do so before classes resume for the year.”
For information on how to donate to Rep. Sanalitro’s Back to School Supply Drive, call her district office at 630-349-0645.
Rep. Sanalitro is the State Representative for House District 48, which includes the communities of Addison, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Schaumburg, and Wood Dale in suburban DuPage and Cook counties.
