Carol Stream, IL— State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Bloomingdale) are partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office to connect their constituents with more than $3.5 billion in unclaimed property and cash. From 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, residents can meet with a counselor from the Treasurer’s Office at Itasca Park District building to learn if some of the unclaimed items are theirs.
“There are so many people that aren’t aware that they are owed property or money,” said Lewis. “One in four people who search the Treasurer’s Office I-CASH database discover property or cash they can claim, and this is a convenient way for people to do a search and get a claim filed.”

“Once again my office will be coordinating with Senator Lewis to bring much-needed services directly to our neighbors,” said Sanalitro. “We encourage all residents to consider attending on June 20th so that they get the chance to uncover any personal property they may not even know is out there.”
