On Wednesday January 11, Jennifer Sanalitro was sworn in as State Representative for Illinois’ 48th House District. The newly redrawn district includes the communities of Addison, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Schaumburg, and Wood Dale in suburban DuPage and Cook counties.
In her new role, Representative Sanalitro is eager to support legislation that will support law enforcement, expand parental rights, lower property taxes, and help business owners across the great state of Illinois. She is also dedicated to addressing Illinois’ culture of corruption by pursuing meaningful ethics reform and increased transparency during the budgeting process.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the people of the 48th District and to work towards building a safer, more prosperous, and more accountable future for our state,” said Representative Sanalitro. “I am eager to get to work making a positive impact on the lives of the families and businesses that call the 48th District home.”
In addition to her legislative priorities, Representative Sanalitro is excited to fulfill her campaign promises by being actively involved in the district. In the coming months, she will be hosting blood donation drives, collecting school supplies for students, organizing food and coat drives, and leading diaper drives to support families in need.
Representative Sanalitro has a strong commitment to public service and will be dedicated to being a voice for her constituents while in the state legislature. She looks forward to working with her new colleagues of the 103rd General Assembly to address the important issues facing Illinois and to build a more stable future for all residents of the 48th District and the state as a whole.
